About

Founded in March 2019, the Starlight Art Ensemble (SAE) is a rising arts group in the greater Washington, D.C. area. Currently, it has over 100 registered members, most of whom are from Virginia. Under the guidance of professional instructors, their overall singing level has continuously improved. Over the past five years, the ensemble has actively participated in community cultural events, World Cultural Festivals, special qipao shows, and the Mormon Church Lantern Festival performances. During the pandemic, they also held two online concerts. Following the pandemic, on October 29, 2022, after three years of meticulous training and preparation, they successfully held their first concert at the JCC. In 2023, the ensemble was honored to perform at the Golden Lantern Awards ceremony hosted by the Museum of Chinese in America at the Kennedy Center, recognizing outstanding and diverse Chinese Americans and thanking them for their remarkable achievements, leadership, community service, and indelible American spirit. The Starlight Art Ensemble is rapidly developing and moving towards even greater goals.

The current conductor of the Starlight Arts Ensemble is Mr. Phil Peng, and the current director is Ms. Li Fei.
